Bryan Gil rejoins Sevilla on loan from Tottenham

The 21-year-old winger leaves Spurs once again after failing to make an impression on Conte.

Having joined the Spurs from Sevilla 18 months ago,

Bryan Gil

now returns to his old club on loan with no option to buy until the end of the season.

Gil, who was tipped to make an impact at Tottenham, has struggled under Antonio Conte, failing to make it to the first team, which led to him leaving the club to join Valencia on loan for the second half of the last season.

It seems that the situation is the same this season as well. However, the destination is Sevilla this time as they sign Gil to get out of the rut they’ve been having this season.

Sitting at the 13th place,

Sevilla

are just a couple of points above the relegation zone but Jorge Sampaoli has turned things around somewhat. The addition of Gil as well as the signing of Pape Gueye on loan from Marseille could be what rescues Sevilla from a relegation battle.

They’ve lost players as well with Thomas Delaney leaving for Hoffenheim and Ludwig Augustinsson joining Mallorca on loans.
