Inzaghi plays down the importance of Skriniar’s departure

Milan Skiriniar was absent from Inter’s narrow win over Cremonese amidst being linked with a summer move to PSG.

Inter boss Inzaghi says that he won’t "

waste time imagining what happens in the future"

when it comes to

Milan Skriniar

’s transfer speculation.

Skriniar who has been on PSG’s radar since last year, missed Inter Milan’s 2-1 win over Cremonese due to being sent off in their last match. But his absence or his possible future departure doesn’t bother Inzaghi.

"That is not a question for me, it is for directors [Giuseppe] Marotta and [Piero] Ausilio,"

Inzaghi told DAZN.

"Milan is a great professional, he is here at the moment and trains to his best. I cannot waste time imagining what happens in the future."

Cremonese, who hasn’t won a single game all season, lost to an Inter that had the duo of Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez firing.

"They are fantastic,"

Inzaghi said.

"They are doing very well but [Joaquin] Correa and [Romelu] Lukaku are also returning to get back in good shape.

"They played about 20 minutes and the team will need them because Edin and Lauti can't play all the games."

Despite being second in the league,

Inter

are 10 points behind league leaders Napoli, with little to no hope of catching them. In regards to the title challenge, Inzaghi said:

"We are racing only against ourselves, as we dropped a lot of points, it's a big gap at the top and Napoli play [on Sunday].

"We must be calm, focus on ourselves and continue to improve."
