Firmino admits he's heartbroken for Brazil's World Cup squad snub

Despite having a splendid season with Liverpool, the 31-year-old was left out of Brazil's squad for the upcoming Qatar World Cup as Tite opted to select younger options. The Liverpool forward expresses his frustration on Instagram.

Being a popular player in the Selecao squad for four years, Tite opted against including

Roberto Firmino

in his squad for the upcoming Qatar World Cup as Richarlison, Gabriel Martinelli, and Rodrygo were preferred to the 31-year-old striker.

Roberto Firmino, who was a part of the Selcao squad for the Russa World Cup in 2018, wrote on

Instagram

:

"Passing by to say thank you for all the lovely messages.

"The World Cup is a dream for every player and with me it wouldn't be any different. Yesterday things didn't go the way I imagined or dreamed for my life but I can look back and have a grateful heart to God that he has already allowed me to live that dream as well as so many others."

Despite seeing his role at

Liverpool

diminished over the past few years, Firmino stays a valuable player at Anfield as he's scored 8 goals in 18 appearances this season.
