Zanetti wants Skriniar to stay at Inter ‘for a long time’
While Inter’s center back Skriniar has been heavily rumored to join PSG, Javier Zanetti hopes to convince him to stay at Internazionale
Inter Milan’s Slovack center back has been heavily linked with
PSGover the past few transfer window but
Nerazzurri’s vice-president, Javier Zanetti hopes that Milan Skriniar stays at the club “for a long time”.
Skirniar has been at the club since 2017 having joined them from Sampdoria and has helped the club win a scudetto and generally been greatly credited as one of the main reasons for Inter’s resurgence.
"I often speak with the boys and Skriniar has a very important profile for how he approaches the culture of work,"
Zanetti told Il Giorno. "
I was like that in the past: speaking little, showing a lot.
"I hope he will stay with us for a long time. When I arrived in Milan, Inter was the best choice for me, and I spent my entire career here."
Zanetti also had a bit of advice for
Skriniarfrom his own experiences, stating:
"Many of my team-mates during my career decided to change teams. With time, they confessed to me it was a big mistake to leave Inter,"
Having already qualified to the knockout stages of the Champions League, Inter now ready themselves to play Juventus this coming Sunday.
