Ten Hag praised 'magnificent' Casemiro after Spurs win

The Brazilian star has been able to find his place in United's lineup in recent weeks and has performed well.

Erik ten Hag praised Casemiro's performance at Manchester United and claimed that he filled an important gap in the team.

The Brazilian star joined Manchester United from Real Madrid for 75 million euros in the summer and was under intense pressure from the beginning due to the high transfer fee. He is regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world and Ten Hag believes his performance alongside Fred against Tottenham showed he is worth the money he was paid for.

Asked about the chemistry between Brazilian midfielders, Ten Hag said:

"Definitely, there is a link between them, that is clear. Casemiro is now at the side of him and we see him developing and proving why we signed him. He is growing from game to game."

"You see how important a player like he is for the squad, he was magnificent and the performance shows the club's needed someone like him. He is showing that in the last few games, what he can do for the team."

Casemiro was not included in the starting line-up until the match against Everton on October 9 after moving from the Santiago Bernabeu to Old Trafford. It seems that Ten Hag has gradually found his place in the lineup and is expected to be in the starting line-up from now on.
