Saka strike gives Arsenal victory against Bodo/Glimt

Arsenal beat Bodo/Glimt on Thursday in the Europe League to stay at top of the Group A.

goal. Arteta’s side now has won six games in a row across all competitions and only failed to win in one game this season.

Arsenal is at top of the Group A with nine points after three matches. PSV Eindhoven who will face FC Zurich later on Thursday is second with four points after two matches. Bodo/Glimt also has four points after four matches. Zurich is without a point after three matches. Mikel Arteta’s side also is one point clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

Bukayo Saka scored the only goal of the match in the 24th minute. His initial strike hit Bodo/Glimt's defender and then rebounded off Saka’s chest and into the back of the net.

Berge’s through ball opened Arsenal’s defense in the 29th minute but Pellegrino’s strike went well wide of the far post.

Bodo/Glimt could equalize in the 52nd minute but Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner make an excellent save on Amahl Pellegrino's shot from close range.

Bodo/Glimt also had another good chance in the 58th minute but Espejord’s effort who was in a great position went over the bar.

Bodo/Glimt before this match had won 14 consecutive home matches in European competitions.

Arsenal will travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League and then they will play with PSV Eindhoven next Thursday.
