Breaking: Valencia completes Justin Kluivert's loan move from Roma

After an unsuccessful spell at Roma, the Dutch winger was on the verge of joining the Premier League club Fulham on loan with an obligation to buy. However, Valencia entered to hijack the winger on the summer window deadline day.

Being in the final year of his contract with Roma,

Justin Kluivert

had loan spells at

RB Leipzig

and OGC Nice after he failed to live up to his expectations in Serie A.

According to

Fabrizio Romano

, the Dutch winger's loan move to

Valencia

is almost done as both the clubs and the player have a deal agreed upon after the move to Fulham collapsed. Although the

Premier League

side agreed to include an obligation to purchase for about €12m in the deal, Kluivert’s loan move to the Los Che reportedly will be without any obligation.

“Valencia are now closing in on Justin Kluivert deal! Agreement in principle with AS Roma, player has accepted to join Valencia after Fulham deal collapsed

.”

Given that the player is in the final year of his contract with

Roma

, he must sign a new contract before moving out or they will lose him as a free agent in June 2023.

Although

Fulham

reached an agreement with the

Giallorossi

to acquire Kluivert's services on loan with an obligation to purchase for about €12m, the move collapsed because the Premier League club had not filled out the paperwork correctly and failed to get him a work permit, allowing Valencia to jump in to get the player on loan.
