Ryan Giggs’ charges cleared after the jury failed to reach a verdict
The Manchester United icon has been charged with assault and actual bodily harm, as well as a single count of coercive and controlling behavior. However, the jury of seven women and four men said they had failed to agree on verdicts on any of the charges against Giggs.

Sir Alex Fergusonappeared as a defense witness at the trial, telling the court that Giggs had a "fantastic temperament" while Giggs admitted he had been unfaithful to all his partners, but denied using controlling or coercive behavior.
The 47-year-old Manchester United legend was
allegedly charged to have assaultedKate Greville, 36, and caused her actual bodily harm at his home in Worsley, Greater Manchester, on November 1 last year. In addition to Kate Greville,
Giggs
is also charged with the common assault by beating of Ms. Greville's younger sister, Emma, on the same day.
In addition, the Welshman allegedly engaged in controlling and coercive behavior towards her between December 2017 and November 2020, namely that he used violence, isolation, belittling, humiliation, harassment, degradation, and abuse.
