in 2014 and has won four Champions League titles with the Spanish club says he may retire next year.

Kroos has made just shy of 350 appearances for Los Blancos since arriving in the Spanish capital and during his eight seasons at Santiago Bernabeu, he has helped the club win a host of major honors, including three Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles.

"I believe that the year 2023 is appropriate [to retire],"

Kroos told Bild.

"I will be 33 years old.

"I will decide whether I will renew for a season or two. That is still open for discussion, but I am completely sure that I will retire at Real Madrid."

Kroos also insists he has not changed his mind about retirement from the national team and has no intention to play in the World Cup this year.

"The decision I made at that time stands,"

he added.

After 106 appearances for Germany, Toni Kroos announced his retirement from international football last year. The 32-year-old midfielder scored 17 goals for Germany and won the World Cup in 2014.
