Ronaldo will cycle 500km after Valladolid's promotion

Real Valladolid got back into LaLiga on their first try, and Ronaldo Nazario is planning an interesting way to celebrate.

Ronaldo Nazario

said he will keep his promise to cycle 500 km after

Real Valladolid

was promoted to

LaLiga

. After coming in second in the Segunda Division, the Pucelanos will play in Spain's top league next year.

Ronaldo, who bought most of the club's shares in 2018, will now walk the Camino de Santiago from Valladolid to Santiago de Compostela, which is where the pilgrimage ends.

Ronaldo said on Twitch, "I made a promise a long time ago to honor Valladolid's automatic promotion, even if we were relegated [in 2021]." "I promised that if we went back [to LaLiga], I would walk the Camino de Santiago. Since I can't run, I'll do it by bike.

"On Sunday, my wife Celine and I will ride bikes from Valladolid to Santiago de Compostela." Valladolid got back into LaLiga after being kicked out last season. They did it on their first try, and Ronaldo thinks it's as good as anything he's done in his own career.

In 2002, the former striker led

Brazil

to their fifth World Cup victory. He scored eight goals at the tournament in Japan, including both goals in Brazil's final win over

Germany

, and won the Golden Boot award.

He told El Norte de Castilla that Valladolid's success was "right up there with the World Cup in Japan and Korea in 2002."
