Verona 1-3 Milan: Rossoneri take huge step towards Serie A title

Milan with a victory against Verona takes a big step toward securing the Serie A title.

restores Serie A lead with a 3-1 comeback victory at Hellas Verona on Sunday night. Pioli's side is two points ahead of

Inter

after 36 games. Milan will face Atalanta and Sassuolo in their last two games of the season.

Tonali

scored for Milan at the start of the game but it was ruled out as offside with the help of VAR.

Despite Milan dominating the game, it was Verona who take the lead in the 38th minute. Faraoni's header from a cross put the hosts ahead. Milan leveled the game in the last few seconds of the first half. Tonali scored after turning Leao's square pass across the face of the goal past the goalkeeper from close range. 

Tonali scored again at the start of the second half. He once again got on the end of Leao's pass across the face of the goal to tuck the ball home at the far post.

Florenzi scored the third goal for Milan in the 86th minute. He played a one-two pass with Messias before breaking into the penalty area and beating the goalkeeper with a low shot to the far post.
