Lingard may leave Manchester United

Lingard’s negotiations with the Red Devils break down, and he gets closer to departure.

Manchester United’s

negotiations with

Jesse Lingard

have broken down, and now he is one step closer to leaving Old Trafford. The 28-year-old winger has been struggling to find his place in

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s

side, and this may be a reason behind the negotiations breakdown.

Lingard spent a successful loan spell at

West Ham

scoring nine goals for the club in 16 games in the domestic competition, and after his return to Old Trafford, he expected a regular place in the starting place in the team, but with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes in the team the competition became too hard for the 28-year-old, and he fell down the pecking order.

Lingard has not played any games for the Red Devils as a starter in the Premier League this season, and his appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been from the bench. He has started only one game for the Red Devils’ this season in the Carabao Cup against West Ham which they were defeated.

Now the player who has been a part of the Red Devils since he was seven years old has been reconsidering his future at the club, and he hasn’t reached an agreement with the club over a fresh deal at Old Trafford.
