Premier League clubs to ignore FIFA ban over players

Premier League clubs are said to have agreed to ignore FIFA's request not to use disqualified players from South and Central America.

There are eleven players in the Premier League whose clubs have not allowed them to play for their national team and therefore they are at risk of being banned by FIFA.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are among the clubs that will be hit hardest by the situation as South American countries seek revenge and try not to allow clubs to use the players. For this reason, FIFA has set a five-day limit for the use of these players, which includes Allison, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino from Liverpool, Rafinha from Leeds United, Ederson and Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, Thiago Silva from Chelsea and Fred from Manchester United.

The other three players involved are Raul Jimenez from Wolves, Miguel Almiron of Newcastle and Francisco Siralta from Watford. However, the Mexican Football Federation withdrew its complaint on Friday so that Jimenez would have no problem playing against Watford.

Not only will some players not be able to play in this week's Premier League matches, but they will also miss the chance to play in the first leg of the group stage of the Champions League. But the Sun reports that English clubs have agreed not to file any complaints against their rivals if they use these disqualified players, so that there is no disciplinary issue in this regard.

Earlier, FIFA President Gianni Infantino sent a letter to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, asking for an exception for national team players who should travel to the countries on the red list, but this request was not accepted.
