Amad Diallo’s loan move to Feyenoord cancelled due to injury
Manchester United star Amad Diallo’s loan move to Feyenoord has been canceled after the Ivorian winger was injured in training.
The 19-year-old was ready to complete a season-long move to the Dutch side in order to get more game time under his belt, but the deal is now canceled.
The Red Devils’ boss
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
had revealed a deal was close on Friday, but just two days later the training injury threw the switch in doubt.
As quoted by Dutch outlet
AD, Feyenoord technical director Frank Arnesen said: "
He got injured, it's canceled
.
“Too bad, everything was done. I've talked a lot with the people at Manchester United, but it's more sensible to let him recover at that club.
"It may be a while before he comes back."
United were keen to get the Ivorian some game time away from the club following the arrivals of
Jadon Sancho
and
Cristiano Ronaldo
