Bologna agree deal to sign Arnautovic from Shanghai SIPG

Marko Arnautovic is set for Serie A return after Bologna reportedly agreed to pay Shanghai SIPG €3m plus €1m in bonuses to release the former West Ham striker.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com,

Bologna

and

Shanghai SIPG

have finally reached an agreement over the deal.

The Austrian was able to make a free transfer in the summer, but his deal with the Chinese club changed after the Euros, so the Serie A club had to pay Shanghai SIPG asking price for the striker.

The 32-year-old, who was part of the

Inter

that won the Champions League under

José Mourinho

, is now set to return to Serie A after both clubs reached an agreement.

Arnautovic

will fly to Italy in the coming days to do his medicals with Bologna and sign his contract with the Rossoblu.

The striker appeared 3 times in Euro 2020 for Austria, scoring one goal against Italy. However, his goal was correctly disallowed for offside after a VAR check.

He missed his side’s 2-0 defeat to the Netherlands as he was suspended by UEFA for insulting an opposition player during his goal celebration in their game against Italy.
