'Haaland is already in England' - Zorc joked about Erling situation
The Norwegian star has not yet appeared in Dortmund's training camp for the new season.
sporting director Michael Zorc joked about the absence of Erling Haaland in the pre-season and, despite many rumors about the Norwegian star's departure, claimed that he was in England.
The Leeds-born Norwegian striker has performed very well over the last few years and has been able to attract a lot of attention. The richest clubs in the world, including several Premier League clubs, are looking to sign him, and Chelsea is one of them. However, Zorc denied the rumors about the Norwegian's separation and claimed that the situation has not changed in any way compared to before.
After it was reported that Haaland had not reported to Dortmund's training complex, Zorc said:
"Erling is already in England."
Asked about whether there could be a departure for the attacker, Zorc replied:
"Nothing has changed. We are firmly planning with Erling for the new season."
Haaland contract is valid until 2024, but there is a clause in his contract that next year, other clubs can sign him for 75 million euros.
