Barcelona’s Coutinho on the verge of joining Marseille for €25m

After signing Konrad de la Fuente from Barcelona B, it seems the Brazilian will be the second Blaugrana player that Pablo Longoria’s side are close to signing for their project to make a competitive team for the next Ligue 1 season.

According to

Mundo Deportivo

,

the French Giants

have some “good news” for its fans as they are reportedly looking to sign Brazilian attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona and announce the signing on Monday.

To ensure the longevity of

Lionel Messi

at the club, the Blaugrana seek to reduce salaries and make a number of sales as Joan Laporta and his board would be willing to let the former Liverpool superstar go for €25 million this summer.

Joining

Barca

from

Liverpool

on a €140 million in January of 2018,

the Brazilian midfielder

failed to live up to his promises at Camp Nou and find a place for himself in Ronald Koeman’s starting Xi. He spent the 2019-2020 season on loan at Bayern Munich and is now considering leaving Barca again.

Coutinho

will be back in action for

Brazil’s Copa America showdown

 against their arch-rivals,

Argentina

tomorrow in the competition’s final game at Maracanã Stadium.
