Eto’o thinks that Mbappe will be the next Messi

Samuel Eto’o

has talked about

Mbappe’s

potential and quality, insisting that he can follow Lionel Messi and

Cristiano Ronaldo’s

footsteps to become the next football god.

Ronaldo and Messi have dominated the football for years sharing 11 Ballon d’Ors, and Eto’o thinks that Mbappe has the quality to follow their path.

Cameroon’s former striker told

:

"Cristiano is another God. Together with Messi, they are the players who mark current football with the highest grades.

"But another God is coming for when Messi and Cristiano get tired of giving us these joys. That new God will be Kylian Mbappe."

He has also talked about Messi’s exit talks insisting that he can’t imagine the Argentinian superstar playing for any team other than Barcelona and thinks that he would extend his contract at Camp Nou.

 "I can't imagine Leo with another shirt. It is his club, his home, his love.

"I do not think that his continuity is due to a question of money. Leo is Barcelona and Barcelona is Messi.

"I know [president Joan] Laporta is preparing a reliable, interesting project for him."

Ronaldo and Messi are still performing at a high level despite the speculations and the criticism that they are facing, and Mbappe has shown so much potential since the beginning of his career at Paris Saint-Germain, winning the domestic league multiple times and winning the World Cup with France.
