Liverpool’s Taiwo Awoniyi granted a UK work permit

The Reds striker has attracted interest from several English clubs, including Fulham and West Brom.

, the Nigerian striker has now been granted a UK work permit for the 2021-22 season. The player will be able to continue his career in England and might spend the pre-season with

’s side. Awoniyi’s performances for

Union Berlin

in the current season have attracted interest from a host of English clubs.

have been already involved in initial negotiations for the player while he has other suitors in Bundesliga. Having rejected

Anderlecht

’s £5-million approach, Liverpool are reportedly interested in an £8m deal for the 23-year-old. Awoniyi has featured in 20 Bundesliga matches for Union Berlin in their current campaign, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists. The German club are reportedly interested in signing the player on a permanent deal but a move away from the club seems more probable.
