Wolverhampton captain denied Neto's transfer to Liverpool

The Portuguese star has attracted many clubs by shining among the wolves.

Conor Coady denied Jamie Carragher's talk of Pedro Neto joining Liverpool, claiming that the Portuguese star would stay at

Wolverhampton

.

The 21-year-old midfielder joined the Wolves in the summer of 2019 and attracted a lot of attention with his excellent performance. In 31 games for his team, he has scored 5 goals and 6 assists. This good performance has prompted Liverpool to try to sign him, and Jürgen Klopp, who has benefited from Neto's former team-mate Diogo Jota, is now looking to sign another Wolverhampton player.

In the

Greatest Games podcast

, Carragher asked Coady , Wolverhampton captain:

"Have you spoken to him about how good Liverpool is?

Coady replied:

“He’s not leaving Wolves!”

Coady added on Neto' qualities:

"Boss, mate, yeah. Really good. He’s class, him.

"You forget he’s 21, I look at him as a 28-year-old. He doesn’t look that age.

"We were talking the other day and we were on about how he’s born in 2000 and we were putting him in the same category as Phil Foden.

"You look at how well he’s doing and then you look at the numbers Pedro is bringing up as well, and the assists and the goals and how he’s affecting games for Wolves.

"He’s an incredible player, absolutely incredible."
