Super League collapsing: Agnelli affirms after England's big 6 exit

Juventus CEO Andrea Agnelli no longer trusts it is workable for the Super League to happen as expected.

As the Super League's director, the 45-year-old has conceded that the opposition can't go on after the withdrawal of each of the six English clubs engaged with the plan.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham have all pulled out of the designs for the new European competition in the midst of extreme pressing factors from fans, players and savants across the world of football.

Milan, Inter, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid are still ready the way things are, alongside Juventus; however, the Italian businessman presently anticipates that the Super League should disband totally.

Quizzed if the development of the tournament could, in any case, occur after the ways out,

Agnelli

, who established the breakaway project, said on Wednesday:

"To be frank and honest no, evidently that is not the case."

In the wake of seeing the six of the first 12 establishing clubs quitter, the Super League delivered an explanation promising to reconfigure their arrangements and keep pushing for change in the midst of the fiscal vulnerability brought about by the Covid pandemic.

"We are proposing a new European competition because the existing system does not work,"

the statement reads.

"Our proposal is aimed at allowing the sport to evolve while generating resources and stability for the full football pyramid, including helping overcome the financial difficulties experienced by the entire football community as a result of the pandemic.

"Despite the announced departure of the English clubs, forced to take such decisions due the pressure out on them, we are convinced our proposal is fully aligned with European law and regulations as was demonstrated by a court decision to protect the Super League from third party actions.

"Given current circumstances, we shall reconsider the most appropriate steps to reshape the project, always having in mind our goals of offering fans the best experience possible while enhancing solidarity payments for the entire football community."
