Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns to Sweden team for World Cup qualifiers

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is going to be recalled by Sweden five years after his international retirement.

The AC Milan

ace has desired to put on the yellow shirt again, and Sweden boss, Janne Andersson has always welcomed such an idea.

Sweden fans will be thrilled to have Ibrahimovic at San Siro for the future World Cup qualifiers match between Georgia and Kosovo.

Ibrahimovic

has scored 14 goals in 14 Serie A matches in the current season, aiding Milan to a Scudetto challenge with Inter and Juventus, and has a score of 16 in 21 through all competitions.

This rate has convinced Andersson that Ibrahimovic can still play at the international level as Sweden limber up for Euro 2020.

Now Andersson has remarked that he will face criticism at home “whatever I do” over the 39-year-old forward, who is Sweden’s all-time leading scorer with 62 goals in 112 matches.

Ibrahimovic has lastly played for Sweden in 22 June 2016 in a European Championship group stage defeat over Belgium.
