Steve Cotteril hospitalized after suffering Covid-pneumonia

The 56-year-old head coach is in poor condition and needs intensive medical care.

Shrewsbury

manager Steve Cotterill, who tested positive for corona on January 1 and spent last month in hospital, has been re-admitted.

The 56-year-old spent 33 days in hospital for treating coronavirus. Cotterill left the hospital on February 16 and then resumed work at home, managing players remotely. Now the Shrewsbury Town club has confirmed that their manager has been hospitalized again.

"Shrewsbury Town Football Club is disappointed to report Steve Cotterill has been re-admitted to the hospital," the statement reads.

"Following extensive treatment for Covid-19, Steve returned home from the hospital on February 16th. However, Town's Manager has returned to the hospital over the weekend as he is suffering from Covid-pneumonia.

"The Club wishes Steve all the best in his recovery and will not be making any further comments at this time."
