Conte slams Juventus for disrespectful attitude
After a heated post-match exchange with Juventus’ chairman, Andrea Agnelli, Antonio Conte wasn’t happy with the way he was treated by the Bianconeri’s staff.
Inter
were eliminated from Coppa Italia semi-final after a goalless draw at
Juventus
in their second leg as they couldn’t find a way past
Gianluigi
Buffon
to cancel
Juventus’
2-1 victory in the reverse fixture.
However, the controversy of the match was behind the confrontation of the former
Juventus’
boss and
Agnelli
. According to Rai,
Conte
made an insulting gesture towards his former employer at half-time, and the
Juve
chief answered his gesture by verbally abusing the Inter coach after the full-time.
The 51-year-old manager wasn’t happy about the incident, he told Rai:
"Juventus should tell the truth.
"I think the fourth official heard and saw what happened throughout the match.
"They should be more polite in my opinion. They need more sportsmanship and respect for those who work."
However, the Italian coach refused to comment on the incident.
"What happened at the end of the game? I have neither the desire nor the pleasure to comment on anything,”
Conte
said.
"I think that in all things there must be education. Enough."
