Kim Min-jae: Ulsan Hyundai are not unstoppable
Beijing FC defender believes that his team can rise against the Korean team’s excellent form.
Beijing FC
will face
Ulsan Hyundaiin the quarter-final of the
AFC Champions Leagueon Thursday as both teams are unbeaten in their seven matches leading to this clash. Both teams have had spectacular performances but Ulsan’s form has been particularly lethal as they have won all of their six matches in Doha with excellent goal margins. However, Beijing’s defender and the Korea Republic international
Kim Min-jae
believes that his team is able to stop Ulsan’s winning streak.
“I know Ulsan Hyundai very well,
“I’ve played against them a number of times, so I’ve been able to share my experience with my teammates and we have had discussions together about how to defend against them. We’ll also listen well to the coach’s instructions on how to do so.
“Obviously, I am Korean, so I’ve played against them, and I don’t think they’re an unstoppable team.”
When asked about Ulsan’s right-back Kim Tae-hwan, the 24-year-old responded:
“I played with him in the national team and I’ve also had a lot of experience of playing against him before,
“I agree, he’s a really good player, but he’s also in a really great team with lots of good players. The game is not about one against one, it’s about team against team and if we can dominate the game as a team, I’m sure that we will have a great result."
