Guardiola wanted to sign Odegaard for Bayern

Pep Guardiola, former Bayern munich manager, wanted to attract Norwegian star Martin Odgard for the Bayern and believed that he would make him the best player in the world.
Martin Odgard was looking for the best destination for himself in the fall of 2014 when he was just 16 years old. He visited the training camps of Arsenal, Barça, Real, Bayern, Manchester United and Liverpool, and finally Real Madrid was his choice.
Odegard joined Los Blancos in January 2015 and played an official game for the team, then joined two Dutch teams on loan until he left for Sociedad on loan last year. His brilliance in La Real caused Zinedine Zidane to ask the club's Management to bring him back.
Former Norwegian national team player Jan Age Fjortoft has revealed in a podcast that Pep Guardiola, who was in charge of Bayern at the time, was fascinated by Odegard. Guardiola told Agge:" you have to bring that boy to Munich, you have to bring him to Munich! I will make him the best player in the world.”
Fjortoft added:" “Liverpool was his favourite club as a child. I think the reason that he ended up at Madrid was quite simple. They had a second team, while the other three clubs didn’t. The second team was coached by Zinedine Zidane – not a bad player and not a bad coach."
