While they were challengers in Madrid, Jesus Vallejo and fellow defender Jonny Otto know each other pretty well from international career.

Jonny previously played for Real's hostile opponents Atletico Madrid, moving to Molineux initially on loan last year - though that transfer has now become permanent.

Jesus Vallejo at Wolverhampton Wanderers

One of the top facts about Jesús Vallejo is that

Wolverhampton Wanderers

completed the signing of Jesus Vallejo in 2019/20 season. Jesus Vallejo on a season-long loan contract added even more continental skill to their levels.

To the casual spectator, Jesus Vallejo was rather of an unfamiliar quantity - and may be viewed by many as an aspiring upstart who was unsuccessful to play well at Santiago Bernabeu.

Speaking Spanish could be an important factor in helping Jesus Vallejo to settle in quickly at  Wolverhampton Wanderers, and he would also be able to have a chat with fellow Spaniards Adama Traore and Rafa Mir.

On 27 July 2019, Jesús Vallejo joined English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers on a loan contract for the entire season. The Spanish footballer made his competitive debut on 15 August, in a 4–0 home victory over FC Pyunik in the third qualifying round in the UEFA Europa League.

In general, Jesus Vallejo has played a key role in Spain Under-21s victory 2019 European Championship, and has previously had achievement at Under-19 level.

Jesus Vallejo story at different clubs

When Jesus Vallejo left Wolverhampton Wanderers in the middle of the 2019-20 season his opportunities of fulfilling the rich skills that had convinced Real Madrid to pay €6 million for him as an 18-year-old failed.

At the age of 23, time was still on Jesus Vallejo’s side, but he had difficult time since his he was at Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2016-17 season.

In the next two-and-a-half seasons Jesus Vallejo played just 12 league starts for Real Madrid and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Jesus Vallejo’s dream of playing for Spain at the Olympics may have been disappearing into the distance had he stayed on the fringes of the Premier League team.

Jesus Vallejo would not be happy at a team with motivations of standing in the Premier League's top six. So, he arrived in La Liga after he spent two difficult seasons.

Granada had started their first season after they were back in La Liga Primera División. They temporarily topped the table after 10 matches, but expectations were not high at a team whose salary expenditure is less than that which Barcelona pay their top player Lionel Messi.

And yet at the early weeks of the new season it was Vallejo's team, not Messi's, who was on the upper levels of the La Liga table. Finally, Granada succeeded in the latter weeks of the season, where four victories in six matches earned them seventh place and Europa League qualification, has not dissipated as the Andalusians contested on several fronts.

Jesus Vallejo quotes

One of the

top facts about Jesus Vallejo

is that he has the following sayings about his activities:

Jesus Vallejo tells CBS Sports, "I remember I talked with the manager, with Diego Martinez, [sporting director] Fran Sanchez and some of my teammates like Carlos Fernandez." He added, "They told me it was the best idea to go to Granada because the atmosphere there was fantastic. The first day I could see this.”

"Here my teammates are my friends too. I can learn with them and with the coach Diego every day. I recommended this experience now for Alberto Soro, a new team-mate [and former Real Madrid player]. We are a pack here and we are a very good group. You can notice this from the first day.”

"The secret of all this success is the group. Everybody here feels important when they have to play, we can achieve important things in Europa League because we are looking forward to these games."

It is worth mentioning that the approach in which manager Martinez used was widely well-known in Spain that season. His team would develop chemistry not only on the training field but through barbecues at each others' homes and hikes in the hills together.

Coronavirus enforced lockdown in Spain caused those specific ways of team building on pause but Jesus Vallejo was still able to welcome his new environment.

He noted, "We did a lot of Zoom, we played Playstation tournaments: FIFA, Call of Duty. Our girlfriends, our friends [play] too. This was very important, I spent more time in quarantine at home than in the dressing room last season.”

"It's different [to other teams I have been with]. In Madrid, for example, we have a lot of games and then the players want more time at home with the family.

"Here, it's like a family. In Granada, if you go to the dressing room, you're at home."

"It's a mix of joy and opportunity," the Real Madrid loanee said of his side's involvement in the Europa League. "This is a very important moment for Granada. We can do important things. We have a much better team this year, we can compete against everybody. We are very focused on the game.

"We can see if we are not very focused we have problems, like the day of Atletico Madrid. If we are focused we can achieve important goals."

Getafe's style could hardly be more different to the defensive style of Real Madrid and other top clubs, where defenders are supposed to play as deep-lying playmakers, but it is maybe a more active finishing school for a young centre-back such as Jesus Vallejo.

"In Madrid we train a lot with the ball, here in Granada we are very focused on the small details," he explained.

"I think if you are a central defender in Real Madrid you have to play very far from your goalkeeper. You have to be focused all game, you have the ball but suddenly you have to sprint 40 metres and be fast, be focused. You have more space behind you, here you are defending as a group. This is easier here than in Madrid.

"Right now it's the best club [for me]. I need to improve; I need to play a lot of games."

To achieve them, Vallejo needs the right proving ground but for the young center-back Granada is proving to be so much more than just another stop on his road to Real Madrid and La Furia Roja. In a year when community has been all the tougher to find, Vallejo has found a home for himself.

Jesus Vallejo future at Madrid

According to a report from MARCA, Jesus Vallejo is being regarded as a fourth-choice centre back choice if Raphael Varane leaves Real Madrid.

The team know that Raphael Varane can have a large transfer fee for them, relative to other players in the squad, and thus the team would be willing to cash in on him given there is only one year remaining on his current contract. With renewal talks at a dead end, Real Madrid may be forced to keep French centre back, Raphael Varane.

in spite of the fact that Real Madrid potentially may lose two of the best center backs in the world, the club may decide to get out of the market. Long-time objectives, Jules Kounde and Pau Torres, have both been believed too expensive for the club. The team managers can instead choose to promote Militao and Nacho’s roles within the team.

The addition of David Alaba, together with the developing roles of Militao and Nacho, still leaves one spot open. Jesus Vallejo should not be the player nominated to fill that dump. Jesus Vallejo has retreated in his last two seasons as a professional football player and struggled to break into the starting XI at Granada.

If the team do decide to select a cheaper fourth string alternative, then they have a lot of of choices from the Cantera. Victor Chust, a left footed centre back, captain of Castilla, and captain of the UEFA Youth League championship team has already played for the first team on a few times. Pablo Ramon, the excellent young centre back from Mallorca, has earned admiration from many, including one of Getafe’s former U-19 mangers. And the third choice, the least talked about but perhaps the best defender of the three is Mario Gila. He was a stand out for Raul’s Castilla and constantly accomplished at a high level in Segunda B.

Each of the above-mentioned names may probably play a developmental 4th-string role for at least one season as the team attempts to get their moneys in order for next summer.

Sponsoring a youth football player would help with UEFA home grown squad necessities and would cost the team nothing. One of the

top facts about Jesus Vallejo

is that he 24 years old at the moment and his latest performances on loan have not deserved a return to Real Madrid.

Jesus Vallejo Captaincy

Jesus Vallejo seems to be a usual leader, and apparently takes the armband wherever he plays. At Zaragoza, he became captain immediately when he was 18 years old, and it was a similar case at international level.

Jesus Vallejo has captained the Under-21 team ten times out of his 22 games, and was La Furia Roja's captain in 2019 for that already talked about Euros success.

Jesus Vallejo is vocal, fervent and strong-minded to win; he should fit in well to a club side that are well trained and demonstrative in their wish to play for each other.

Jesus Vallejo family

One of the top facts about Jesús Vallejo is that he has made his partner, María Delgado , overtly known through the prevalent social network Instagram . Though the viewers had already seen the young lady on the football player's program on Realmadrid TV's "Campo de Estrellas", Jesus Vallejo had not published any photos with her so far.

In one of the published photos, we can see that the former Real Zaragoza player took advantage of the day off to visit Navacerrada and enjoy the snow with his sweetheart and so make it clear that despite the distance that separates them both are very much in love.
