Carlo Ancelotti: After Real Madrid career, I will retire

Carlo Ancelotti is contemplating his future after leading Real Madrid to the LaLiga title in his first season back.

Carlo Ancelotti

has claimed that after he departs

Real Madrid

, he will likely end his coaching career at the club level, but he is open to continuing in command of Los Blancos for another ten years.

When he led Real Madrid to

LaLiga

triumph last week, the 62-year-old became the only coach in history to win each of Europe's top five leagues. Ancelotti's illustrious managing career covered 26 years and 11 jobs, including two spells with Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.

On the other hand, the Italian is looking forward to spending more time traveling and with his family in the future. "I'll probably quit after Real," he told

Amazon Prime

. "However, if the club keeps me here for another ten years, I'll train for another ten. I'd like to spend time with my grandchildren, go on vacation with my wife - there are so many things I'd like to do that I haven't yet."

"I've never been to a lot of locations." I've never visited Australia. Rio de Janeiro is a city I've never visited. I'd like to pay more visits to my sister." All of these items will be waiting for me when I retire."

Ancelotti has 22 titles under his belt, including Serie A with Milan in 2004, Premier League with

Chelsea

in 2010, Ligue 1 with PSG in 2013, Bundesliga with Bayern Munich in 2017, and LaLiga with Real Madrid this season. Ancelotti became the oldest manager to win the Spanish top flight with his latest triumph, at the age of 62, two years older than

Fabio Capello

was when Real Madrid won the title in 2006-07.

Ancelotti, who has won a record-tying three European Cups at the club level, has hinted that he may be persuaded to manage an international team for the 2026 World Cup. "Yes, there may be a national team," he replied, "but it's too early to talk about it." "Not for this World Cup, for sure." But why not for the one in 2026?"

When asked if he is interested in leading Canada, which will co-host the tournament with the United States and Mexico, Ancelotti replied, "Why not?" They've done a fantastic job."
