Rugani wants to leave Rennes, Torino interested

The Italian defender is not having enough playing time and is eager to leave.

for

Rennes

to have regular playing time. However, although the side are in the Champions League, Rugani could participate in just two matches across all competitions. Reports suggest that the defender is eager to leave the club and return to Turin as soon as possible as he doesn't see a clear future for himself in France.

Alfredo Pedulla via Football Italia reports that Rugani is interested in joining

Torino

on loan for the rest of the season. Torino are in a disastrous situation as they are a real candidate for relegation in Serie A. Torino wants to add a new defender to enrich their survival hopes.

Directors of both clubs are having a meeting today to negotiate over a possible transfer for the 26-year-old Italian defender. In case Rugani left, Rennes would plan to fill the gap by bringing another defender. Torino is prepared to offer Nicolas Nkoulou to them in a similar agreement.
