Pulisic and Musah Thrive in Milan as Serie A Gains Popularity in the U.S.

In the summer of 2023, two United States internationals made their move to Italy. Christian Pulisic left Premier League giants

, where he won the Champions League, to join AC Milan. Meanwhile, Yunus Musah transferred from La Liga's Valencia to the Rossoneri.

Both players have made an impact in Milan, with Pulisic achieving a personal-best goal tally of 15 in the 2023-24 season. He is currently on duty at the Copa America and is a candidate to captain the U.S. national team. Pulisic's performances on the field and his off-field persona have garnered significant attention.

Research conducted by Men in Blazers and YouGov has highlighted the growing popularity of Italian football in the United States. Milan's fan base in the U.S. has increased by 50%, and interest in Serie A overall has risen by 27%.

Milan has actively engaged with a younger audience, launching an academy in Virginia and expanding their Junior Camp project across 24 North American cities this summer.

Looking ahead, YouGov reports that football interest in the U.S. has risen to 46%, with approximately 43 million fans now following Pulisic and his teammates at Milan. Milan's collaborations with the New York Yankees, YES Network, and Puma are expected to further boost their presence in the States. Milan will visit the U.S. this summer for a series of friendlies against Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona in New York, Chicago, and Baltimore.
