Paulo Dybala makes Juventus salary confession but claims he ‘didn’t talk to Paratici’

After being deducted 15 points in their current Serie A campaign, Juventus is hanging by a thread, being convicted of financial irregularities during the pandemic which involved the salaries of the club staff and players.

Back in March 2020 Bianconeri announced its staff and players that the club would give up 4 months of their wages but the current Roma star Paulo Dybala denies it all, saying that the agreement between the club and players were different.

“We were supposed to receive three months’ salary, the statement did not reflect what happened,”

said, according Calciomercato.

“The proposal was to give up to four months’ wages, but we players did not agree. The agreement was that we would receive a salary for three more months the following season, giving up to just one.

“Many of us were surprised when we were asked to renounce four months’ salary and we said no. We had a Whatsapp group chat, it was a confusing period because some of us were abroad. We decided to decide together, we could agree or not, but we have to do it as a unit. I don’t remember discussing this with Paratici or Nedved,”

continued Dybala.

“By reading the [official] statement, I can say that it’s not what we had agreed. There was written that we would renounce four months’ wages, not that we would have received three months’ salary anyway.”

Reportedly the investigators on the case have found several arrangements between the club and some players, which if proven right would result in Juventus getting another punishment as well as the players involved to be banned for up to a month.
