Palace's Price Tags: The £60m

Eze and Olise's Contract Conundrum Sends Shockwaves in Premier League Circles

BBC Sport reports that

Crystal Palace

is setting a hefty price tag of £60 million ($75 million) for each of their players, Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze, both of whom will see their contracts expire at Selhurst Park in the summer of 2027. It's noted that there are no straightforward release clauses in their contracts, and the players are content with their current situation at the south London club.

Eze, aged 25, and Olise, aged 22, have emerged as notable success stories for Palace in recent times. Eze, functioning as an attacking midfielder, has showcased his prowess with eight goals and three assists in 24 Premier League appearances this season. Meanwhile, Olise, though hampered by injuries, has managed to score seven goals and provide four assists in just 15 matches due to a persistent hamstring issue.

These considerable price tags are poised to challenge the interests of clubs such as Spurs and Manchester City in the upcoming transfer window. Notably, Eze arrived at Palace from Queens Park Rangers in 2020 for around £17 million ($21 million), while Olise's transfer from Reading came a year later for a fee of £8 million ($10 million) after Palace activated his release clause.

Looking ahead, the talented duo is gearing up for Palace's next fixture under manager Oliver Glasner. Despite their recent climb to 14th in the Premier League standings with three consecutive victories, Palace faces London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.
