Ben White leaves England camp ‘due to personal reasons’

The English FA has released a statement saying that Arsenal defender Ben White has left the England camp because of personal reasons

’s camp and has returned to England for “personal reasons.

The Arsenal defender who has been on form for the top-of-the-league Gunners, hasn’t figured in England’s World Cup plans while the Three Lions managed to seal a place in the last-16 of the tournament by topping Group B.

Now the Football Association has released an statement about Ben White, saying:  

"Ben White has left England's training base in Al Wakrah and returned home for personal reasons.

"The Arsenal defender is not expected to return to the squad for the remainder of the tournament. We ask that the player's privacy is respected at this moment in time."

White

was said to have missed England’s 3-0 win over neighbors

Wales

due to illness and is now ruled out for the remainder of the 2022 World Cup.

England are set to face off against Senegal at Al Bayt Stadium next Sunday.
