Cristiano Ronaldo scored in his return in Man United’s 3-0 Sheriff win

After leaving Man United's bench in their victory against the Spurs, the Portugal captain was left out of the Red Devils' squad in their draw with Chelsea. However, the Portugal international returned in style scoring a goal against Sheriff.

During United's 2-0 victory over the Spurs,

caused a lot of controversies by walking out of the bench in the middle of the game. As a result, the

boss dropped Ronaldo from their squad for their 1-1 draw against Chelsea.

However, Ronaldo was included in their starting squad for their Europa League

3-0 victory over Sheriff

, as he scored his side’s third goal in the 78th minute, on the rebound after his initial header was saved by Koval.

Sheriff's goalkeeper made four saves to keep his side inside the game within the first half. However, a 44th-minute header from

Diogo Dalot

gave Man United the leadership as

Marcus Rashford

doubled their lead in the 65th minute.

Three points behind

Real Sociedad

in the group standing, Man United still have the chance of topping their group if they win their last group game. The Red Devils will face West Ham before traveling to Real Sociedad next week
