Ronaldinho defends Messi against critics
Messi's poor performances for Paris Saint-Germain have been met with much criticism.
Ronaldinho defended
Lionel Messias criticism of his former team-mate escalated over his poor performance at
Paris Saint-Germain.
Lionel Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer but had a disappointing season with the club and failed to live up to expectations. He scored only 7 goals for the team and in the Champions League he could not help Pochettino's side and in the round of 16 they lost to Real Madrid and were eliminated from the competition. After the elimination from the Champions League, the fans started booing and the criticism of the Argentine star increased, but Ronaldinho is against these criticisms.
He told

“It’s difficult for Messi because he arrived after many years playing a completely different kind of football at a club that has always played the same way.
“He just lacks adaptation, but the rest will come naturally. It’s normal. He just needs time.
“I don’t understand [the boos]. If you whistle Messi, there’s nothing left! If you whistle the best in the world, who are you going to applaud? I don’t get it.”
Ronaldinho played for Paris Saint-Germain until 2003 and then moved to
Barcelona, where he teamed with Lionel Messi.
