Tomori has suffered a knee injury and wants to play for Milan immediately.

AC Milan

defender

Fikayo Tomori

has expressed his willingness to return to action before the team's match against

Sampdoria

.

The 24-year-old defender has been sidelined for the past four weeks due to a knee injury and surgery. He was injured during Milan's 3-1 victory in the Coppa Italia against Genoa, but now he has no problem returning to the field and has expressed his readiness for the match against Sampdoria.

He said:

“I feel good. It was an easy and quick operation, I am ready to get back on the field and help the team.

“We know this is an important game, especially after the derby and the Coppa Italia against Lazio, but we must keep the sensations of the last two matches and carry them forward.

“The derby is the derby! It’s a very strong emotion, a very important game for the table too. As I said, we need to keep this feeling going into the next matches.”

The English defender has a contract with Milan until 2025 and has played 24 games for the team this season.
