Real Betis eyeing a move for Bayern Munich midfielder

The La Liga side are keen to sign Marc Roca in the winter transfer window.

Since his move from Espanyol in October 2020,

Marc Roca

has failed to live up to expectations at Allianz Arnea. A mixture of fitness issues and poor form has prevented the player from making an impact at Bayern, with the Bundesliga champions reportedly interested in offloading him from their wage books.

According to

Diario AS

, Roca has emerged as a target for Real Betis ahead of the winter transfer window. Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini is looking to add a new midfielder to his side and sees the 24-year-old as a suitable option.

Roca is yet to play for Bayern in their current campaign. The Spaniard is mostly left out of the squad, with German sources claiming Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann does not see a future for Roca at his team.

In an interview earlier this month, Roca said he is focused on his job at Bayern but admitted his future is uncertain.

“I had a bad injury that took me away from preseason, but I’m back,”

Roca told

Radio Marca (

“My ankle feels better than ever, I feel ready, with desire and enthusiasm. The situation is not easy. We all want to play. The opportunities are not there but I feel good, with positive energy and confidence,

“I focus on the things that I can control. I think that is where I can make long-term changes. If I focus on things that do not depend on me, I can get frustrated. I think that by focusing on the day-to-day, in training, where can I improve, I am much better off this way.”

After the international break, Bayern Munich will return to action against Augsburg on November 19.
