David Beckham’s son makes his full senior debut for Lauderdale

After being handed his first professional contract earlier this month, the 19-year-old signed for Fort Lauderdale CF, a part of Inter Miami which is co-owned by his father.

The 19-year-old made his full debut during Ford Lauderdale’s USL League One draw at the weekend. The 

teenager played 79 minutes of his side’s 2-2 draw with Tormenta at DRV PNK Stadium

.

Managing just 19 touches before being substituted 11 minutes from time, Fort Lauderdale were 2-1 up before Romeo left the pitch, thanks to goals from Mitchell Curry and George Acosta.

However, a late equalizer ultimately saw Lauderdale slip to eighth in the USL League One standings.

 

Romeo Beckham wrote on 

Instagram

 post-match: 

"Blessed to have made my pro debut tonight for @fortlauderdalecf. Full focus onto the next match."

The Florida-based club, which operates as a reserve team for Inter Miami, 

announced the signing of former Manchester United star’s son earlier this month

.

The 19-year-old celebrated his first senior contract on Instagram writing: 

"Follow your dreams.”

His mother Victoria further commented on the same post, saying: “

We are so proud of you Romero.

Romeo becomes the second son of former Manchester United and Real Madrid player to join Lauderdale.
