David Beckham’s son Romeo has penned his first professional contract with USL League One club Fort Lauderdale.
The 19-year-old has been training with the Florida-based club, who operate as a reserve team forInter Miami
, and is set to make his debut as early as this weekend.
The third-tier club are yet to announce the signing of former Manchester United star’s son, but the teenager confirmed the news by posting a picture of himself in his new kit on his Instagram account.
"Follow your dreams,"
he wrote, complete with a change to his bio, which read
: "Footballer for @fortlauderdalecf."
His mother Victoria further commented on the same post, saying
: “We are so proud of you Romero.”
Romeo becomes the second son of former Manchester United and Real Madrid player to join Lauderdale.
