Salvatore Sirigu has signed a one-year deal with Genoa

Genoa has formally confirmed the signing of Salvatore Sirigu, who has joined the Marassi as a free agent.

The 34-year-old goalie spent the summer with the Azzurri before returning to Genoa to begin preparations for the new season. 

Torino released the Sardinian shot-stopper, who has agreed to a one-year agreement with the Grifone, with a possibility for a second year. 

The Club's official statement reads: "

Salvatore Sirigu, who graduated this summer as European Champion with the national team, is a new Genoa player."

Sirigu, who has previously played for Palermo, PSG, Sevilla, and Osasuna, has featured in 210

Serie A

fixtures and kept 55 clean sheets throughout his career in the Italian top division with Palermo and Torino.
