BREAKING: Al Nassr sign Cristiano Ronaldo on a €200m-a-year deal

The Portuguese superstar’s time at European football may be at the end as he moves closer to Saudi Arabian Al Nassr.

Multiple news outlets are reporting that

Cristiano Ronaldo

has signed a 2-year deal with Al Nassr which would see the 37-year-old earn a reported €200m per year when his commercial deals are also included.

The contract will run until June 2025 and will include a reported base salary of €70m.

Although the initial deal was submitted during the World Cup, the delay has been reported to be from Ronaldo’s camp who waited on European clubs to make a move for the free-agent Ronaldo. As no serious offers came in, Ronaldo has decided to entertain Al Nassr’s lucrative offer which would put an end to his career at the top level of European football.

Al Nassr has now confirmed that the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner will join them on a free transfer.

Having spent 21 seasons at Europe's top leagues playing for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, Ronaldo will now leave European football behind with more than 700 club goals to his name.
