Cristiano Ronaldo's agent confirmed he'll stay at Manchester United

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s transfer request early in the summer window drew a lot of speculations about the Portuguese’s future. However, after no pursuer coming with a desired bid, the Man United legend is supposed to stay at the club for another season.

Although Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Sporting CP, and Napoli were all linked with a move for

Manchester United

's forward,

Cristiano Ronaldo

failed to secure a move away from the club as he is included in the United's traveling squad for their Thursday Premier League match against

Leicester City

.

Bayern Munich

sporting director

Hasan Salihamidzic

revealed a conversation he had with Ronaldo's super-agent,

Jorge Mendes

. He told Germany's

Sky Sport

:

"I often talk to Jorge Mendes. Yes, we spoke.

"Ronaldo is an incredibly big personality. A big player who has made his mark on the world of football in recent years.

"It wasn't an option for us because we were doing other things and before that we organised our attack in such a way.

"But you don't have to feel sorry for him. He's a great footballer who has achieved great things in recent years."

With

Robert Lewandowski

moving to Barcelona, Bayern was linked with a move for England captain

Harry Kane

. Salihamidzic added:

"It's too early to talk about it.

"If you look at our attack now: we have eight players for four positions. If you look at the training sessions, it's great fun to watch.

"Some training games are better than Bundesliga games. That's why it's much too early to talk about it. The way we played offensively and scored so many goals, I'm very happy about that."
