Erik ten Hag will join Man Utd, the club confirmed

The Red Devils have announced that Erik ten Hag will replace Ralf Rangnick at the club.

Manchester United

have announced that

Erik the Hag

is going to become the new manager of the club when the season is over.

Following a lot of speculations, the Ajax boss will become the new Manchester United boss when the season is finished.

Ralf Rangnick is expected to take on a consultancy role and Ten Hag’s deal will keep him until 2025. There is also an option to extend it for another year.

Ten Hag told United's official website:

"It is a great honour to be appointed manager of Manchester United and I am hugely excited by the challenge ahead.

"I know the history of this great club and the passion of the fans, and I am absolutely determined to develop a team capable of delivering the success they deserve.

"It will be difficult to leave Ajax after these incredible years, and I can assure our fans of my complete commitment and focus on bringing this season to a successful conclusion before I move to Manchester United."

Ten Hag has delivered two Eredivisie titles as well as the KNVB Cup twice since he made a move to Ajax in 2017 and may grab another league crown this season.

United, on the other hand, have been enduring a difficult season when they were vanquished 4-0 by

Liverpool

in the

Premier League

.
