Chiellini not ruling out Juventus exit in summer

The Veteran defender's contract will expire in 2023 and he is thinking about a move away from Juventus.

Juventus

defender

Giorgio Chiellini

did not deny his departure from Juventus in the summer, claiming that he had many issues to consider.

Chiellini's contract expires in 2023, but he may decide to leave the Allianz Stadium sooner than his contract. Italy's elimination from the World Cup could lead to Chiellini's transfer to MLS or his retirement.

He said:

“I enjoy the days, I am happy and serene, I must understand and evaluate many things.

“I think about the games in the meantime and I enjoy them.”

Davide Lippi, the son of legendary coach Marcello Lippi, represented Chiellini during his football career, and he also announced the possibility of the 37-year-old defender leaving in the summer.

Chiellini added: “I’ve known Davide since 2001, we have a close bond and we’ve grown together. I’ve never thought about putting our rapport in doubt and after 20 years, we are still here.”

Chiellini played 17 seasons for Juventus, winning nine Serie A titles with the team. He has made 554 appearances for the Bianconeri, winning 19 trophies.
