Bayern Munich Hernandez and Nianzou test positive for COVID-19

Three Bayern Munich players have returned inconclusive COVID-19 results after two first-team players were found to be infected.

FC Bayern Munich

have 

announced

that

Lucas Hernandez

and

Tanguy Nianzou

have tested positive for the coronavirus.

It was announced by the club that the duo had been placed in isolation and that they were "both well. "

This means they will be unable to attend Bayern's Bundesliga encounter against

Borussia Monchengladbach

on Friday, which will be the champions' first game after the mid-season break.

France international

Hernandez

has made 19 appearances in all competitions so far this season, while teenaged

Nianzou

has appeared in 13, although just four of those games have been starts.

Bayern also announced that tests on

Leroy Sane

,

Dayot Upamecano

, and

Josip Stanisic

were inconclusive.

Julian Nagelsmann

's team return to League action with a nine-point lead over

Borussia Dortmund

at the top of the league.
