Bayern Munich’s Hernandez appeals for six-month jail sentence

The France international has appealed against his six-month prison sentence which was for not obeying the restraining order court gave him in 2017 after domestic violence conviction against his wife.

Lucas Hernandez

will go to court on October 19 in Madrid and will have 10 days to enter prison voluntarily.

A court document revealed that the 25-year-old’s appeal has been denied by the court in Madrid. After assaulting his girlfriend, Amelia Ossa Llorente in 2017, he had been sentenced to doing community service for 31 days. His restraining order prevented him from being in the range of 500 meters of his partner, who has also received a community service sentence for violence, assault and property damage.

The former Atletico Madrid player was arrested for not obeying the restraining order in 2017 after going away on a honeymoon following his marriage.

He had his

Atletico Madrid

debut in 2014 before making a move to

Bayern Munich

in 2019 on a deal worth 80m euros.

The Bayern Munich defender, who contributed to the World Cup victory in 2018, was part of the France squad who won the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.
