Ward-Prowse replaced Kalvin Phillips in England squad

New players have been added to the England squad for the upcoming matches.

James Ward-Prowse replaced Kalvin Phillips in the

England

national team for the World Cup qualifiers.

Kalvin Phillips suffered an injury during Leeds' win over Watford and underwent medical treatment. He was on the England squad for the upcoming matches, but an injury will prevent him from appearing. Ward-Prowse, who scored in the 3-1 defeat to Southampton against Chelsea and received a red card, will be added by Gareth Southgate.

The Three Lions are due to play Andorra on Saturday and host Hungary at Wembley on Tuesday. Phillips was a key player in Euro 2020 and played an important role in England reaching the final of the competition.

Ward-Prowse was in the Euro 2020 qualifiers and also played in friendly matches against Austria and Romania, but eventually dropped out of the England squad for the competition. He, along with Ben Davis and Tammy Abraham , are new players who will be added to the England national team.
