Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira rather play in Brazil than Everton

Spending last season on loan at Lazio, the 25-year-old has returned to Old Trafford and is reportedly out of Solskjaer’s favor as the club tends to offload the Brazilian.

Sky Sports’ Fabrizio Romano

reported last week that the Brazilian has emerged on Everton’s radar with the Toffees eager to sign the Red Devils’ midfielder on a loan deal.

However, as

TNT Sports reports

, Andreas Pereira has rejected the Everton proposal as he prefers a move back to his homeland to play for Flamengo.

The Brazilian feels that playing in his homeland will boost his chances of playing for the Selecao in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Pereira naturally plays as an attacking midfielder but can slot into right midfield and even play as a central midfielder. The midfielder spent last season on loan at Lazio, helping them finishing in sixth place.

Everton are looking to strengthen the No.10 area, essentially with the

possible departure of James Rodriguez

. James Rodriquez’s representative Jorge Mendes has offered his client to Napoli, Atletico Madrid, and Milan with a transfer value of €10m to €20m while

Raphael Benitez seemingly can’t include the midfielder in his plans.

Although Milan is leading the race for the Colombian, the two parties’ talks have been stalled as the Blues are asking for a big-money transfer.

Milan

are considering all their options but they aim to get the Premier League side to agree on a lower offer.

The Colombian departed Madrid to Join Everton and link up with Carlo Ancelotti, who was his coach at Madrid and Bayern Munich, and the duo share a good relationship.
