Benitez willing to sell Rodriguez to Milan, but they prefer Ziyech

As per reports from Tuttosport, Rafa Benitez is not considering James Rodriguez in his ploys for Everton, so the Colombia international may accept a pay cut to make a move to Milan, but the Serie A side would rather sign with Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech.

Milan

are in the market for a new midfielder who can be Hakan Calhanoglu’s replacement as the Turkish moved to Inter when he hit free agency in June.

James Rodriguez

is among the players the Rossoneri are eyeing along with Isco,

Hakim Ziyech

, Dani Ceballos, Nikola Vlasic and Josip Ilicic.

According to

Tuttosport

,

Everton

may be open to cashing in on the 30-year-old as

Rafa Benitez

does not have any plans for him.

Milan and the player’s agent Jorge Mendes are on good terms and that may lead to an agreement being reached, with Rodriguez willing to take a pay cut to sign with the Rossoneri.

However, the Serie A side are not certain about his fitness and their main target is

Chelsea

’s Hakim Ziyech.

The two parties’ talks have been stalled as the Blues are asking for a big-money transfer and Milan are considering all their options but they aim to get the Premier League side to agree with a lower offer.
