Brazilian FA condemns Bolsonaro supporters for storming the congress with Selecao shirts

The Brazilian FA has insisted its "non-partisan and democratic" in the wake of political protests from individuals wearing Selecao shirts.

shirts which has drawn an statement from the Brazilian FA.

The Bolsonaro supporters surrounded the presidential buildings between Saturday and Sunday but Confederacao Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) has condemned the attacks, stating that football is a force for good and not conflict.

"The Brazilian national team shirt is a symbol of the joy of our people,"

the CBF wrote in a tweet.

"It's to cheer, vibrate and love the country. The CBF is a non-partisan and democratic entity. We encourage that the shirt be used to unite and not to separate Brazilians."

The attacks were followed by around 300 arrests whom President Lula has promised to punish as he denounced such actions, calling them "barbaric".
